5 Condiments That Delight Us: Oyster Pairing

5 Condiments That Delight Us: Oyster Pairing

We love experimenting with toppings on oysters. We’ve plucked out some of our favourite condiments — recommended by our in-house chefs, stuff you didn't know you needed.

Umamipapi Chilli Oil $15.50
One of our staff had a jar of this chilli oil, we had one taste and decided we HAD to get it in our store. This jar of chilli oil is made with sunflower oil, onion, garlic, chilli, soy sauce, rock sugar, sesame oil, salt, vegan chicken stock, shallots, monosodium glutamate, cumin, shiitake mushroom, Sichuan peppercorn, star anise, cinnamon bark & sesame seeds. Contains traces of nuts, sesame, gluten. Vegan.

Hot Sauce $5.00
We recommended pairing a Louisiana style sauce because the sauce is not too overwhelming in heat due to the high percentage of vinegar in the sauce. It's where sauce companies like Tabasco and Crystal Hot Sauce originated, we love Frank's RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce. It has a highly vibrant flavour, tangy, a bit sweet, and spicy without being overpowering.

Impress your family and friends with this highly-rated New York Time's Grilled Oyster recipe seen here. The secret? Butter, lots of it. Try this high-quality artisan butter that we've sourced from St David Dairy

Worcestershire Sauce  $6.00
An easy to make dish of oysters topped with cooked bacon, seasoned with Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, then broiled. We love Beerenberg's Thick & Chunky Worcestershire sauce.
